Jody Kriss Bio
Jody Kriss is a Founder and Principal of East River Partners, a Manhattan based real estate investment and development company founded in 2010. With the leadership of Jody Kriss, East River Partners has become known as one of most active and successful real estate development companies focused on projects in Brownstone Brooklyn and Manhattan. Mr. Kriss has helped ERP’s business grow to over $150 million in assets developed through his focus on identifying, creating and unlocking value in underutilized assets. Mr. Kriss began his career as an analyst in 1997 at The Athena Group where he was focused on the development of 838 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. That project, which was the first in NYC to sell for over $2,000 per square foot allowed Mr. Kriss to learn many aspects of the development process. After Athena, Mr. Kriss worked as a Senior Associate at APC Realty Advisors, an investment banking firm where he helped clients raise money for residential development projects primarily in NYC. Prior to forming, East River Partners Mr. Kriss was also a partner in the construction of a 47-story hotel tower in Manhattan, a 24-story ground-up hotel in South Florida and the assemblage of a 100,000 square foot parcel in Brooklyn. Mr. Kriss graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics.
